Hello there. Welcome to Alston Cameron's home page. I'm a Special Education Teacher at Cedar Creek Elementary and I'm proud to be a part of the experienced and very capable staff here. We are all looking forward to the 2018-2019 school year.
I am glad you found your way to my biography page. I received my Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Texas, Austin and my Teaching Certificate from Huston-Tillotson University. I remain steadfast in my desire to broaden my experience and knowledge within this profession. Staying in tune with new teaching strategies will help me find new ways to help educate our students here at Cedar Creek. I will be teaching math.
This is my thirteenth year teaching at Cedar Creek. My wife is Kathleen and she is a Paralegal with the Texas Education Agency. We have two dogs whose names are Tully and Molly. Our dogs like to bark at anything moving, and chase squirrels. One of my hobbies is cycling and another one is to play the banjo and guitar, but do not ask me to play the banjo and dance at the same time. It just will not work.
I really enjoy teaching in the smaller classrooms and it truly gives me a lift to see our children at Cedar Creek progress and grow in their knowledge and education.
